About the Dog

We have a small number of puppies available to families now and are raising new babies. We have been testing our corgis for problems associated with hips, elbows, eyes and hearts since 2003 and are confident of being able to offer pups with very low risk of these disorders.

Since 2010 my friends and I have been very successfully showing dogs owned and/or bred by Nireno at major international competitions. Corgis bred by us are consistently competitive against the very best in the world.

During Covid many people decided to "become" breeders while they were working from home and while the demand for family pets was so high, even though they had very limited experience and no great investment in the breed. The two factors of reduced demand because of economic conditions and increased supply because of more people breeding have led to a perfect storm.

Money is tight but we are not prepared to sacrifice our high standards. We are unable to pay ourselves for our work but our savings will cover vet and food bills and we will be able to keep our breeding program going through the tough times. This means we can offer our pups for the impossible price of $2500. The last time our pups were this price was in 2015.

Our entire breeding program is clear of SCID, EIC, and vWD. Vaccination, worming, microchipping and six weeks free pet insurance is standard. Desexing is not recommended until six months of age.
