Breed of the Month... Siberian Husky

Friendly and gentle, but alert and outgoing, Siberian Huskies are also highly intelligent, and require training and discipline. They look to a leader to provide them with direction. Positive reinforcement training is essential for a Siberian Husky. They are very energetic, therefore, it is important that they receive regular physical and mental stimulation. Siberian Huskies are pack animals; they cannot be left in a backyard and interacted with every second weekend, as this will lead to boredom and destructive behaviours. Siberian Huskies require attention, training, exercise and a lifelong commitment.

Puppy of the Month is... QUITO

The puppy's owner is Liz

Breed Finnish Lapphund

My puppies favourite sleeping place is in anwhere but her bed. Quito has a double coat so prefers the cool floor, in front of the door so as to catch the draft or on the concret.

My puppies favorite trick is Sitting, She will sit for anything - food, pats and attention.

My puppies is the best because she makes me laugh every day. She has a special twinkle in her eye and a smiley little fuzzy face. She is such a happy puppy and bring out the child in everyone she meets. She makes me melt like butter when I come home from work every day and meets me with her happy face and tail wagging.

Thank you so much Liz for telling us about your new puppy. For Quito being randomly chosen for the puppy of the month, you will receive one year’s free membership to Dogs NSW and a doggy toy from Ozpets.
