Dogs NSW at the 2009 Royal Easter Show
The Dogs NSW Marketing & PR Committee once again manned an Information Stand at the Royal Easter Show, talking to the public about the benefits of owning a purebred dog and promoting responsible dog ownership. Situated in the Howie Pavilion from April 9 –22, there were “Meet the Breed’ encounters throughout the day, general information, a guessing competition as well as Dogs NSW showbags for sale.
Members were helpful bringing down their dogs for ‘meet and greet’ encounters throughout the day, which always creates enormous interest for the public as well as great PR for the individual breeds themselves.

Breed information sheets were available, lists of clubs as well as Dogs NSW magazines. Our magazines and free information brochures were amazingly successful this year with members of the public delighted with our monthly publications and the information they contained. Staff and volunteer members were always available to answer any questions regarding different breeds, clubs or general questions about our organisation and the benefits of owning a purebred dog over a crossbred or ”designer” dog.

A Dogs NSW Guessing Competition/raffle was run throughout the course of the show, where participants had the opportunity to win a $450 Dog Hamper daily. The competition was drawn at 3.30pm each day and prizes generously donated by our sponsors: Nestle Purina, Ozpets, Petstock, Bush’s Petfoods, Valueplus, Nutrience, Bayer, Troy Laboratories, Nature’s Gift, Fort Dodge, Smellgone, Masterpet Australia P/L, Capricorn Link, Aussie Pet Health Treats and Kumalong.
